Light-filled Carroll County Kitchen
This homeowner wanted to expand their home with a two-story addition to offer a larger master bedroom suite, which includes a walk-in closet and increase the footprint of their kitchen and to incorporate an island with seating and a butler’s pantry. The kitchen design boasts white solid wood cabinets on the perimeter and stained solid wood island with Richelieu cabinet hardware in brushed nickel. Beautiful granite counter tops grace the cabinets in the color Blue Flower and are from Rock Tops Granite & Marble. The exquisite metal and seeded glass pendant task lighting for the island is from the Feiss Harrow Collection. All faucets are from Kohler, as is the White Haven farm sink. The bar sink in the butler’s pantry and island are from Artisan.
This classic kitchen is completed with white Diamonte subway tile and interesting open curio shelving and book nooks. Andersen windows were installed in this addition including the 400 Series Specialty Arch window over the farm sink and a large bay window for their herb garden joins the mud room and kitchen. To add to the efficiency of this new addition and a place to clean up the pooch after a long walk, the couple installed a mud room/laundry room adjacent to the kitchen with room for their coats, laundry and pet supplies.
