Row Home Remodel
These clients came to us for an updated, unique look. They wanted a two-tone contemporary style kitchen, but adding warmth in the base cabinets was important. To achieve this warmth the Dura Supreme Alectra cabinets were competed in Cocoa Brown Maple. Adding the contemporary element to the pantry and corner cabinets we incorporated two inch aluminum trim with glass. Also in keeping with that contemporary look we installed, above the beverage center, European style flip top cabinets. The balance of the top Dura Supreme cabinets were in a Talia – wired gloss foil.
To accessorize the space, the backsplash chosen was a combination of natural marble, metal and glass to highlight the cabinet selection, accompanied by a man-made surface countertop from Caesarstone. Because of limited space, wall ovens were not an option, so GE Café Series full oven/cooktop was chosen. Two retro mid-century fixtures hang over the island and combined with the rustic bar stools, gives the look a modern but warm feel. The flooring was a 12×24 Happy Floor Sardinia tile with matching grout to give a more streamlined look.
Voila’! A contemporary kitchen in an 1800’s Baltimore City row home has become the envy of the neighborhood!
