Location is key for the homeowners who desire a shorter work commute, or top-notch schools or perhaps a locale that fits their lifestyle, and so it was with our clients. This young couple found just the perfect house close to all the amenities that downtown Annapolis has to offer and yet nestled in a quiet neighborhood with plenty of trees and privacy.
With the help of Owings Brothers Contracting, they were able to plan their first floor home remodel. The kitchen designer at Owings offered the couple 3-D color renderings. These designs helped them to visualize the new space. A visit to Owings Design Studio provided several cabinet, flooring and tile manufacturers to give this young, modern couple ample choices for selections.
The new peninsula dividing the kitchen and dining spaces showcases the new contemporary Bellmont cabinetry. Reclaimed weather wood and updated Caesarstone waterfall top give the dining space a luxurious look. This creates a beautiful, functional separation from the dining area and offers storage and an under-counter beverage refrigerator in the kitchen. Stainless Steel GE and Kitchen Aid appliances add to the contemporary feel and offer light, bright contrast to the dark charcoal blue Bellmont cabinets, as does the 30″ white Reinhard Fireclay Farmhouse sink.
They added color and style with a patterned tile backsplash for over the stove in white, gray and yellow. A herringbone white subway ceramic tile was chosen for the balance of the backsplash area. The homeowner’s passion for coffee inspired them to include a Miele Built-In Coffee System. This provides to them a fresh cup of gourmet espresso, cappuccino, latté or regular coffee daily with ease.
