Signs You Need A Bathroom Remodel

Here are a few signs it may be time for a bathroom remodel

You have been putting it off for years because only you see the mess that has become your master bath.  Unfortunately, more times than not you choose the hall bath when in need.  This shouldn’t be and maybe it’s time for a bathroom remodel!  After a long, hectic day on the job or with the kids you deserve to enjoy your master bathroom!

  1. Outdated

Pepto Bismol comes to mind whenever you enter.  Nothing against the color pink, but do you really want to soak in a bottle of stomach elixir? If you are seeing pink, it’s probably time to consider a bathroom remodel.

  1. Obvious Damage

There are more wall tiles in the tub than around it.  This is a “no brainer”.  Damaged or missing tile exposes drywall and offers a breeding ground for mold and mildew.  Also water can seep behind the tub and into the floor below.

  1. Leaks

If you have a bucket under the sink it is a dead give-away that your leaky bathroom could use a change. Old rusty or leaky pipes that you can see could be a sign that the ones you can’t see are in the same shape and possible unseen damage could ensue.

  1. Resale

If you are not willing to remodel for your own comfort and enjoyment think about resale value.  Most prospective buyers consider the bathroom as one of the major determining factors when purchasing a home.  How does yours stack up?

If you are not sure a bathroom remodel is a good investment, we have great news for you! The return on investment for bathroom renovations can be anywhere from 56 to 70% according to Remodeling Magazine Cost vs Value National Averages.  Not bad odds if you plan to stay in your home for a while.  This enables you to enjoy the updated amenities of your new bath and also place your home in a better position for resale.
